Tacloban, Samar - - - The AFP Educational Benefit System Office (AFP EBSO) successfully conducted a Leadership Seminar at Leyte Park Resort Hotel, Magsaysay Blvd., Tacloban, Samar last 21 August 2010. The activity consists of Team Building, Lecture / Workshops, Election of KAANIB Officers and boodlefight.

Tacloban, Samar - - - Three schools in Calbayog and Catbalogan, Samar established partnership with the AFP EBSO during the office's visit last 19-20 August 2010. They expressed support to the AFP Educational Benefit System (AFP EBS) through the provision of educational benefits to dependents of military personnel. The schools will be the first partners of the AFPEBSO in the Samar Region.

Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City - - - A signing of Memorandum of Agreement between Help Educate and Rear Orphans (HERO) Incorporated and Armed Forces of the Philippines was held last 21 July 2010 at the GHQ Conference Room. The attendees from the HERO Incorporated are the following: Mr Antonio T Aquino - President and Chairman Help Educate and Rear Orphans Inc; Mr Aniceto V Bisnar Jr - Vice President, Ayala Land and BGen Renato M Garcia (Ret) - Executive Director, HERO Foundation.
