A former AFPEBSO grantee under the RA 6963 Scholarship Program, Sharon finished her BS Accountancy Degree at Centro Escolar University (CEU) and is now enjoying her job as a Finance Analyst at the Mitsui and Company Limited. Her father, TSgt. Ely Calleja was a member of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) who died in a vehicular accident in 1996 while on the way to Pangasinan to meet President Ramos.

       Very thankful for the opportunity and privilege given to her by the Armed Forces, Sharon would consider herself a little less fortunate without the RA6963 educational assistance, as it would mean a little less education and therefore a little less opportunity for a better job. The educational assistance granted to her by the AFPEBSO through RA 6963 made her feel prouder of being a soldier's daughter and has inspired her more to strive hard, since believes that it is only through a college diploma would she be able to return all the sacrifices of her parents, especially her father.
